KABOOM-Lite!

Kaboom-Lite envisions a playground (world) where the transformative glow of ephemeral light ignites laughter, builds connections, and serves as a catalyst for inclusive community development. Designing the play space by mimicking the outdoor indoor using the Folio diffuse panel lighting as window panels to get that soft glow, ever-changing with the time of the day. To bringing in a sense of playfulness using the pressure activated light panels for participants to leave their impression quite literally as they use the space. To bring in the element of surprise a curved path was planned with a starry ceiling which is replicated using floor light to get that magical effect. A cautious thought towards designing the corridor was put to make them as much a part of the play-space. Instead of using the regular signages, colored light was used to navigate the spaces via corridor. Software Used: AutoCAD, AGi32, Rhino, Lumion, Photoshop Not for profit space + light design @ Parsons School of Design; Group Project
